Mother Mary
As the name our School tells, the entire school with its working, ideology, thoughts, actions, students, teachers and management – is dedicated to Saint Mary – The Mother of God, Jesus Christ. Mother Mary is the Patron Saint of our school.
It’s the huge privilege to write something about Mother Mary, the Patron Saint of our dear St.Mary’s Christian School, Sahibahad...which has successfully completed 20 long years and its entering its 21st year of growth and success.
It is truly and entirely in the light and guidance of our beloved Mother Mary that we have reached so far on the road of success…. Mother Mary has always guided, cared, protected, watched over and prayed to God for us.
Saint Mary is also known as the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady, Immaculate Mary, Queen of the Universe, Queen of the Angels and the Holy Mother of the God.
She lived in the first century, in Galilee when it was part of the ancient Roman Empire (now part of Israel), when at an early age she was married to a God fearing carpenter named Joseph….or St. Joseph as we know him. She is the most pure, the most chaste woman to have ever lived on earth.
Patron Saint :
The Mother, of God, Mother of Jesus, wife of St. Joseph, and the greatest of all Christian saints, Mother Mary serves as the patron saint of all human beings, especially young children, like the students @ SMCS watching over them with motherly care, due to her role as mother of the world’s savior, Jesus Christ.
Mary was born into a devour family in Galilee (now part of Israel) when it was part of the ancient Roman Empire. Her parents were Saint Joachim and Saint Anne, whom Catholic tradition says that angels visited separately to inform them that Anne was expecting Mary. Mary’s parents dedicated her to God when she was 3 years old.
By the time Mary was about 12 or 13 years old, historians believe, she was engaged to Joseph, a religious man. It was during Mary’s engagement that she learned through an angelic visitation of the plans God had for her to serve as Jesus Christ’s mother on Earth. Mary responded with faithful obedience to God’s plan, despite the personal challenges that it presented for her.
Words will always fall short to describe the Mother of the whole world… so we would like to bring this to a wholesome conclusion with a prayer.
Kindly reflect upon the words of the prayer.
