Counselling

Helping Students Build Skills For Life, Not Just For Exams

Life skills sessions are conducted through interactive classroom activities, group discussions, storytelling exercises, reflection activities, creative expression tasks, and open conversations led by the school counselor and teachers.
This is reflected through various student- centred activities and support services such as- e-
* Sessions on anxiety management, stress management, self-love & emotional balance
* Discussions around friendships, peer pressure, confidence & overthinking
* Interactive activities like Letter To Myself, Emotion Wheel, Silent Thoughts Wall & gratitude exercises
* Creating classrooms where students feel emotionally safe expressing themselves
* Helping students develop emotional awareness, empathy & self-understanding

A Safe Space To Pause, Talk & Feel Understood

Through supportive conversations, emotional guidance, active listening, teacher observations, and regular student interactions, students are given a safe and non-judgmental space where they can freely express what they may find difficult to share elsewhere.
This is encouraged and practiced through-
* Individual counseling support for emotional & personal concerns
* Guidance during stress, anxiety, academic pressure & self-doubt
* A calm, confidential & emotionally supportive environment
* Helping students feel heard, understood & emotionally stronger
* Supportive intervention whenever students need emotional guidance or reassurance

Creating Emotionally Safe & Supportive Classrooms

Through classroom wellness workshops, teacher collaboration, awareness activities, and interactive group sessions, students are encouraged to build empathy, kindness, emotional understanding, and healthier peer relationships.
The following initiatives help us bring this support system into everyday school life
* Sessions on empathy, kindness, bullying awareness & emotional safety
* Discussions on healthy friendships & respectful communication
* Activities that encourage inclusion, teamwork & emotional understanding
* Building classroom environments based on support rather than judgment
* Encouraging students to value kindness as much as achievement

Helping Students Discover Their Strengths & Future Possibilities

The aim is to help students understand their strengths, interests, personalities, and aspirations while making future choices with greater confidence and clarity.
This is encouraged and practiced through-
* Individual career counseling & guidance sessions
* Career workshops & future exploration activities
* Guidance based on students’ interests, strengths & personality
* Helping students explore career options without pressure or comparison
* Supporting students in making informed and confident career decisions

Stronger School & Parent Partnerships Create Stronger Support For Students

Parent support sessions are conducted through counseling meetings, guidance interactions, collaborative discussions, and regular communication between parents, teachers, wellness staff, and the school counselor. These sessions aim to help parents better understand the emotional, behavioural, social, and academic needs of children and adolescents.
Support for both students and parents include-
* Guidance for emotional, behavioural & academic concerns
* Helping parents understand children’s emotional needs better
* Improving communication, trust & emotional connection at home
* Collaborative support between parents, teachers & wellness staff
* Creating a stronger emotional support system for students both at home & school
